This October marks the 10th National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance established this campaign to raise cyber security awareness and help create a safe, secure cyber environment for all.
With all the benefits and convenience of cyberspace, comes the risks to our personally identifiable or proprietary information.
As we continue to shop online, bank on our smart phones, and interact with friends on social media networks, cyber threats will evolve and cause damage at a faster pace.
In order to safeguard information it will require the government, law enforcement the private sector and most importantly, the public to be engaged and keep the lines of communication open.
