Mary Salerno joined Axis Insurance Services, LLC in 2007 as a National Account Manager, bringing her 19 years experience in the insurance industry to her position.
After graduating from Rutgers University, Mary worked as a paralegal and legal research assistant. She began her insurance career as a commercial lines producer at an agency in South Florida where she was responsible for the development of the agency’s Professional Liability department. Her experience as a paralegal and legal researcher, made her uniquely qualified to work with the agency’s attorney clients on their Professional Liability.
In 1995, Mary opened her own commercial lines agency, focusing not only on professional lines, but on both standard and non-standard commercial lines as well. As the agency owner, she was involved in all phases on the agency operation, including systems and procedure implementations, hiring, training and supervising of staff, and developing a large book of commercial lines accounts. In the volatile South Florida property market, this often required unique and creative placement strategies. She sold her agency in 2006, to return to New Jersey.
Mary specializes in Insurance Agency and Broker E&O, D&O, Crime, Fiduciary and EPLI. Her extensive background, both in insurance and in the legal field, gives her the ability to develop innovative solutions targeted to her client’s insurance needs. Mary’s high level of expertise and attention to detail make her a valuable member of the Axis team.
