An experienced insurance executive, he is leading his client companies through the complicated maze of today's the litigious business environment. Smith has a varied background, including that of a Senior Manager at Coopers & Lybrand (Currently PriceWaterhouse Coopers), where he specialized in the insurance industry. He has a keen understanding of the industry and uncanny ability to find solutions for common risk issues not addressed by most commercial insurance programs.
At Coopers & Lybrand, he was responsible for dozens of local, regional, and multinational insurance and healthcare clients ranging in size from $1 million to $50 billion in assets. This is complemented with his experience with a large publicly traded professional liability insurance company in corporate strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and product development. During his career he has served in various capacities as a Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President of several companies guiding them from infancy to sale and every where in between.
He is an author, former CFO and COO, former CPA and acquisition specialist. Currently, Mr. Smith focuses his energy on the development of his professional liability insurance programs. His creative E&O program for Commercial Real Estate Organizations has earned the endorsement of several international commercial real estate organizations.
